Classroom Rules and Guidelines

Cameras MUST be turned on for every zoom meeting

• Unless you have a valid excuse ( you must message/email me to let me know)

• If your camera is off (without a valid excuse), you will be sent back to the waiting room

• Camera needs to be facing you, not the ceiling or floor.

Participation is worth 25% of your grade

• That means 25% of your grade is just you showing up to our zoom meetings on time and participating in class

• If you are tardy (more than 7 minutes late), twice, you will lose 1 participation point

• You receive 1 participation point per zoom meeting

• Losing one participation point is like you missed 1 whole class

• Please be on time and if you know you will be tardy or are having any issues, you must let me know as soon as possible.

During our zoom meetings, you are required to participate

• You can raise your hand to answer a question outloud

• You can share your response in the chat

• If I ask you to answer a question, I expect a response

• If you get called on during zoom, I expect you to respond

• I understand that life happens and sometimes there are circumstances where we can't turn our mic on

• In that case, send me a message through chat right away and let me know

• Otherwise...1st attempt: You will be issued a warning

• 2nd attempt: You will lose your participation point and be marked absent

I can also tell who is paying attention, especially at the end of our meeting

If you stay logged on after I dismiss class and you are not responding, you will also lose your participation point for the day

• Any assignments will also be posted on google classroom

All assignments MUST be turned in on time to receive full points

• You will lose 10% for every day late an assignment is turned in

• For example, if you earned a 10/10 for an assignment but you turned it in 3 days late, you will receive a 7/10

• I would love to give everyone an A but you've got to earn it

• TODAY is the last day that I will be accepting any work without docking points for it being turned in late
