Step 3: Decide which key point you want to write about.

Step 4: Write a hook- for this exercise, you will write a hook in the form of a question that you will answer in the paragraph.

Example: What would you do if you could spend a day in China?

Step 6: Write 3 sentences that give lots of detail about the 3 things you have picked to do there. It is ok if you write more than 3 sentences.

Example: The first thing I would do if I were in China would be to visit the Great Wall. It is a wonder of the world and can be seen from space. Then I would go see a traditional Chinese play, so I could enjoy the music and dancing. Finally, I would go and eat a lot of dumplings! In China, they love dumplings and have hundreds of different kinds of dumplings. I would try to eat them all!

Step 7: Write a conclusion sentence. It needs to use some of the details but still support the topic sentence.

Example: China has so much to do, see, and eat- from the Great Wall to plays to dumplings, and I really hope that one day I get to go!
