2
Texts are written for a variety of purposes using different forms and standards of composition.
3
To Recount
The purpose of a recount is to recall a series of event or experience for the reader’s information or enjoyment Rather than retelling every minor detail, only the important information or events are recalled.
4
Example
My friends and I went to Tagalag Fishing Village the other day. We passed some fishponds along the way, and some fishermen waited patiently for their catch. We took a lot of pictures to add to our memory of the place because it was so beautiful. In the Tata Celo Kainan sa Palaisdaan restaurant, we also had lunch. We had a fantastic time.
5
To Persuade
The purpose of a Persuasive text is used to convince the reader to agree with the author about the topic or issue.

Example
Do you know that Manila Bay has the Philippines' best harbor? It's also known for its beautiful sunsets. Tourists comment that the sunsets in Manila Bay are among the most beautiful in the world.
