• Area of a cirlce:  $\pi r^2$  = $\pi4^2$  = 50.27

• TWO circles so 50.27 x 2 = 100.54

• Area of a rectangle = base x height. Height is 10 inches, base is circumference of circle

• circumference =  $\pi d$  =  $\pi8$  =25.13

• area of rectangle = 25.3 x 10 = 251.33

• Total = 251.33 + 100.54 = 351.87
