Making Inferences - Conflicts

2
Evidence for CONFLICTS
If worded right, conflicts CAN include text evidence.
Ex: Della shed "a tear or two" when deciding to cut her hair. This is an internal conflict because she struggled to sacrifice her hair to earn money for Jim's present. This shows that even though she loved Jim, it was still a big decision for Della to cut off her hair.

Multiple Select
Which conflicts INCLUDE proper text evidence?
*Timothy had to go back home. He was halfway to work but realized he forgot his cellphone. Usually it wasn't a big deal, but Timothy was expecting an important client to call him. And if he missed this client call, Timothy's business might be at its end.
Timothy's business is struggling because he is reliant on important call.
Timothy "forgot his cellphone" at home. This is a man v. self because he had a mental lapse even though he "was expecting an important" call.
Timothy's business "might be at its end" if he is unable to talk with his "important client". This could be a man v. man conflict because Timothy needs the client to help him keep his business alive.
Timothy left his phone at home.

Multiple Select
Which conflicts INCLUDE proper text evidence?
*The jaguar was about to pounce. Kelly knew she had to get out of the way, but could she leave the helpless bear cub to its demise? No, Kelly had to protect it.
Kelly had an internal conflict about if she should protect herself or the bear cub.
Kelly had a man v. self conflict about "getting out of the [jaguar's] way" or protecting the "helpless bear cub".
The jaguar - man v. nature
The man v. nature conflict is "[t]he jaguar was about to pounce" because the jungle cat is apart

Micky being grounded shows that he is a trouble maker.
Micky was hopeful his parents would let "him out of [his grounding] early".
Micky was expected at the game.
Micky's parents had high expectations for him because he was not allowed "out of [his consequence] early".
6
Besides the third answer, all answers could have been okay as inferences. So why was the fourth option "the best"?
"Micky's parents had high expectations for him because he was not allowed 'out of [his consequence] early'."
This is the best inference because it PROVIDES clear text evidence.
The inference CLEARLY relates to the problem.
