Lord of the Flies

Chapter 3

Reorder

Reorder the following

Jack hunts in the jungle pig-runs. He finds fresh pig droppings and hears a pig on a path. He misses the pig with his spear, failing again.

Jack returns to camp. Ralph and Simon are building a third shelter but need more help. Ralph points out that most of Jack's hunters are swimming when he says they're helping by hunting. Only Simon helps Ralph with the shelters.

Jack has a "got it!" moment while discussing fire and rescue. Jack's yell gives Ralph hope he saw a ship, but it was a hunting epiphany.

Jack says he should look for the pigs up on the mountain, where it is cooler, and that the boys should wear camouflage. Ralph is angry, and he questions whether Jack wants to get rescued.

Jack and Ralph go to the pool after arguing. Jack returns to hunting, and Ralph returns to the shelters to find Simon gone.
