• No more Roman/Greek culture, Literature, Science, etc.

• No more protection and safety from the Roman Army

Germanic Tribes

• "Every man for himself"

• No culture, just survival

• Illiteracy (No reading/writing)

• No more thinking and learning

• Forget the Romans and the Greeks

Feudalism

• Hard work ALL THE TIME

• Disproportionate (Uneven) relationships/structure

• Fear ALL THE TIME

• Stress about survival

Religion

• Constantly Afraid of God's wrath

• Who do I listen to? King or Pope?

• Fights between King and Pope

• Stress about your entire afterlife

• Stress about your earthly homelife

The Black Death

• Everyone's dying!!!!

• FEAR

• No idea what it was, how it spread, treatment????

Renaissance is Italian for "Rebirth"

It was an awakening, like sunshine after the "Dark Ages".

People wanted to be rid of the pain and stress of the Middle Ages.

Back to Rome and Greece.

People wanted to get back to Roman and Greek culture, art, literature, architecture, science.
