Molecules within matter, which is anything that has mass and takes up space, are always moving. The closer they are to each other the slower they move and the farther apart they are the faster they move.

The different states of matter are solids, liquids, gases and plasma.

* Solids have a definite shape and a definite volume

* Liquids no definite shape but a definite volume

* Gases have no definite shape and no definite volume

The temperature at which water boils is 32 degrees Fahrenheit, or 0 degrees Celsius. It boils at 212 degrees Fahrenheit, or 100 degrees Celsius.
