This is an example of how I use Quizizz lessons in my everyday classroom.

Typically I use Nearpod but I have started to branch out and try new things.

3

This platform has many wonderful advantages.

  • The first is the embedded question option. Students must answer the questions or they do not get credit for the day.

  • You can provide a link for students to use when they are at home.

4

There are some cons though.

  • You are not able to save notes that are written on the SmartBoard or on the over lay with this. I typically will record my screen and then post a link to the video for absent students.

  • Students are creative. They can and will find away to get around the participation feature.

5

Flipped Classroom in reality...

  • If they are implemented correctly they can be really beneficial but so many teachers do not do it correctly.

  • I think that my students have really benefitted from not having a lecture-based learning environment every day.

6

The following slides are what my students would see.

This is the actual lesson that I used on 3/31/2021. It is very easy to make and not time-consuming.

7
