Social Resilience Model- SRM

Remember...this is based on science & teaches us skills that can be used (by anyone) to self-regulate – control how we respond to people and events rather than automatically react to them.

These skills can help us remain in our Resilient Zone or bounce back to it.

Sensory Tracking: Why is it so important?

To use the skills needed to remain in your R ZONE, you must first be aware of WHEN you need them. Noticing changes is the first step.

TRACKING means noticing what is happening in and around you, paying attention and making changes.

7

Tracking Ourselves

  • Paying attention to changes

  • Noticing what’s happening inside

  • Noticing what feels comfortable or uncomfortable

8

Tracking Others

  • Noticing changes in another person’s presentation.

  • Gently sharing observations with them & see what they notice inside.
