We use HAVE TO when something is necessary or an obligation.

A synonim of have to is MUST (they mean the same).

An opposite of have to is Mustn´t.

Have to = must

I have to do my homework. (I, you, we, they)

She has to have a ticket to get on the plane. (he, she, it)

We use DON´T HAVE TO to indicate that something is not necessary, and that we are free to do as we wish.

Don´t have to = NO OBLIGATION

You don´t have to go to the party if you don´t want to. (I, you, we, they)
