Las reglas

• This group of verbs is the most irregular in all of preterit

• They have a different set of preterit endings

• They have verbs will different meanings

• They have no accents in any form

• Each verb falls into a category that uses a specific "stem" for conjugation.

Los verbos del grupo J

The J verbs are going to use the same endings as UV U I verbs except in the ellos/ellas/Uds. forms

*the ending will be eron

La conjugación de los verbos

• All of these verbs will use a raíz "stem" for conjugation

• The stem will not change for the verbs only the endings will

• In the stem you will see the letters (UV U I J) and this is why we group the verbs together.

• Tener: to receive/had

• *Please note than tener has a different meaning in preterit!
