For this lesson, we will say that Maryland has three regions (as pictured). However, as you research, you may find maps where MD has more regions, maybe with different names than the ones shown here. Geographers may vary their language or the details of their classification; however, this map still gives us a sense of the key characteristics of regions in MD.
