Present simple: Negative and Interrogative Form





Negative and Interrogative Form 

With the present tense, we use do and does  to make QUESTIONS and NEGATIVE sentences. We use the word "does" for the third singular person (she/he/it or singular subject) and we use the word "do" for the others (I, we, they, you or plural subject).

​NOTE:
in this sentences we don't add "S" to the verbs

Negative form

•We form the negative with 

“Does not” or "doesn't" when the subject is a third person in singular

Structure

sujeto + auxiliar + not + verb (without S)

Examples:

(+) He works here

He doesn’t work here

(+) She likes dogs

She doesn’t like dogs -

In the questions, we always begin the sentence with the auxiliary

Auxiliary (do/does) + subject + verb + complement?
