FANBOYS stands for the conjunctions: for, and, nor, but, or, yet, and so!
Does anyone know why we use conjunctions?

FANBOYS
Conjunctions are used to connect or join two sentences, clauses, phrases, or words.
When we join two separate sentences they become compound sentences.
Compound sentences must be joined by using a comma and one of the FANBOYS.

We must remember that a complete sentence has a subject and a predicate.
Jacob wanted to get ice cream. Abby wanted to eat pizza.
These two sentences are complete on their own, but they can be joined by using a conjunction.
