  • Contrary to popular belief, Republicans are not completely against immigration. They do not support illegal immigration.

  • Republicans endorse the S.A.V.E. program, which is an electronic system that can check the status of immigrants within seconds.

  • They believe that the apprehensions of over 500,000 immigrants at our southern border is an issue.

  • Republicans believe strongly in rewarding those who choose to cross the border legally, including children, parents, and even entire families.

  • Republicans support the DREAM Act, which seeks to provide temporary legal status opportunities for children, eventually rewarding them with permanent citizenship status if they agree to serve in the U.S. military or embark on continued education opportunities.

  • Nearly 9,500 unaccompanied were caught trying to cross the border, which is the largest number in about a decade.

  • There are currently 3,400 unaccompanied minors in Border Patrol Custody.

  • More than 8,5000 unaccompanied children are being cared for by the Department of Health and Human Services
