There is low point source pollution and high non-point pollution caused by runoff from farms.

Main Problem

With runoff coming from farms we have nitrates causing an Algae Bloom which in itself causes high turbidity, high water temperature and, low dissolved oxygen.

Solutions

There are a few solutions we propose a law to prevent farmers from using nitrates on their fields which led into the ocean this would be prevention which is our best option. To remove nitrates from water would take large scale reverse osmosis which would be expensive and take a lot of time
