Would rather

• It is used to express preferences about something in English.

• The structure can be a little strange because 'rather' it's not a verb BUT it is part of the expression would rather.

You can use "I'D rather" instead of "I would rather". This is called: contraction.

The contracted form of WOULD is 'D.

Example:

I would rather > I'd rather

You would rather > You'd rather

She would rather > She'd rather

  Example:
