• School (83%), followed by life after school (69%), and family financial issues (65%) make up the most commonly reported sources of stress for teenagers.

• Stress is the number-one health concern for teens.

• There was a 30% rise in students seeking help at counseling centers between the years of 2009 and 2015.

• For American middle schoolers, 61% of teens admitted feeling a lot of pressure to get good grades. In contrast, 29% feel pressured to look good, 28% need to fit in socially (28%), and 21% feel the pressure to involve themselves in extracurricular activities and be good at sports.
