Debra: Hey, what’s this saxophone doing here?

Hal: I have a lesson after work.

Debra: So, how long have you been playing?

Hail: Oh, a couple of years.

Debra: You must be getting pretty good by now

Hail: I wish! I haven’t made much progress lately.

Debra: Huh. How come?

Hail: Well, you see, I used to practice every morning. But then I started this job, and somehow I can’t get myself to practice at night.

Debra: Well, you must be tired after work.

Hal: Yeah, but you know, I just joined a band.

Debra: That must be fun.

Hail: Yeah, it really is, and it keeps me motivated to practice. In fact, that’s why I joined.

Debra: I see. Well, let me know if your band performs anywhere. I want to hear you play!
