  • Are usually complex, multi-step problems.

  • There are usually only a few problems, but they take longer to complete.

  • These tasks are looking for what you understand about math, so explaining your thinking is very important!

  • Usually have a set of related tasks.

  • For instance there might be a set of data for you to collect, then you may need to order it, then create a line plot, then answer questions about the shape and range of the data.

  • You always need to write out all of the information work that you do for a performance task!
