We use as + adjective + as to make comparisons when the things we are comparing are equal in some way.

Examples:

• Luis is as tall as Mario.

• Tokio is as big as Beijing,

• Seul is as beutiful as Kyoto.

5th grade are as intelligent as 4th grade.

Eliu is as strong as I am.

not + as + adjective + as

We use not + as + adajective + as to make comparisons betwen things Wich arent equal.

Examples:

• Lima is not as big as Mexico City.

• Sntiago is not as popular as Buenos Aires.

• Bogota is not as beutiful as Sao Paulo.

You can use contractions, examples:

Lima isn´t as big as Mexico City.

Santiago Isn´t as popular as Buenos Aires.

Bogota isn´t as beutiful as Sao Paulo.
