Nimisõnast saame mitmuse vormi, kui lisame selle lõppu -s.

NÄITEKS: grape-grapes ; pea - peas ; sausage- sausages

Kui sõna lõpeb susiseva häälikuga (-ch), või o-ga, tuleb sõna lõppu lisada -es.

NÄITEKS: peach - peaches, tomato - tomatoes

Kui sõna lõppeb aga y-ga, muutub y i-ks ja lõppu tuleb -es.

NÄITEKS: cherry - cherries , strawberry - strawberries
