3

9 Tips Recap

  • 1. Tells a Story- It has a purpose with an ending.

  • 2. Take your eyes on a predefined journey - Have a clear starting and ending point. It shouldn't be messy.

  • 3. Have a new angle (be original) Not as important for our infographics.

  • 4. Practical Value - Something that teaches/has a message (How to guides, history of infographics, information)

  • 5. Well structured- Can't be too busy or have too much information.

4

9 Tips Recap Continued

  • 6. Sends one key message - it is like the topic sentence of a paragraph, it is the main idea of the infographic

  • 7. Visually appealing- pictures make an infographic more interesting, easier to read and understand

  • 8. Accurate (correct) well researched- you do not want wrong (inaccurate) information on your infographic because that would be misinformation

  • 9. Short and sweet- So that people will actually read it (if there is too much text nobody will!!)
