When we use the verb GUSTAR:

We have two verbs in a sentence. We have GUSTAR and the infinitive verb that accompany that one.

For example: Me gusta ir al cine.

Verbos Infinitivos (Infinitive Verbs)

The infinitive verbs are not conjugated. They are in the purest or simple form. In a sentence with Me Gusta that infinitive verb cannot be conjugated. Just one of the verb needs to be conjugated and it is the verb GUSTAR because your main message is to tell that you like something.


EX. Me gusta leer.

Gusta está conjugado

Leer no está conjugado. Está en infinitivo.
