Things needed to make button jewelry:
Elastic cord
Ruler
Scissors
Colorful Buttons (metal or plastic)
Pliers
Metal jewelry tube

It is easy to use old materials to make something new. Old buttons can become homemade jewelry. Button jewelry is
simple to make. You will just need to gather the materials and follow the steps below.
First, measure and cut the elastic cord to the right length. Use eight inches for a bracelet. Use twelve inches for a necklace. Tie a double knot at one end. This will stop the buttons from slipping off.
Next, thread the cord through two of the buttons’ holes. Push the cord up through one hole, and then down through the opposite hole. Use buttons of different colors and sizes. Stop when one inch of cord is left.

Finally, slip both ends of the cord into a metal jewelry tube. This is a clasp that holds both sides of the jewelry together. These tubes can be found at craft stores. Use the pliers to flatten the tube. To do this, firmly hold the handles of the pliers and squeeze the tube tightly. Now the cord ends will stay together. Cut off any extra cord with scissors.
It is easy to turn old buttons into new jewelry. Handmade jewelry is the perfect gift! You can also keep it for yourself.
