Poor children
Poor children had very few toys to play ,so most of their toys were hand made and children would share toys such as marbles, hoops, skipping ropes and dolls
Children also made up game to play in larger groups like "tag" or "catch".
They also made balls from bundles of rags and bats from pieces of wood.
Children were also able to safely play in the streets

Rich children
Rich children had expensive toys such as rocking horses, animal arks and doll houses.
Rich children had a special person to look after them known as a nanny.
They also had their special rooms known as nurseries where they ate, played and slept.
