Directions

• Decide on a technology topic, similar to what Bradbury describes in the novel, to present to the class. Examples include: Robot attack dog Helicopters that turn into cars Wall sized screens for the Home Interactive screens/Virtual Reality Fireproof Houses Memory Implants Ear buds

  
  

Required Slides

• Title Slide with your title, your name & illustration/design

• Slide with your introduction paragraph. Include the Bradbury technology connection.

• Slide with embedded video, TedTalk, or link to Congressional or Rand report about your topic.

• Slides describing some of the positive uses for this tech with text evidence from articles read.   (Put first body paragraph in speaker notes.)

• Slides describing some of the issues or dangers with this tech with text evidence from articles read. (Put 2nd body paragraph in speaker notes.)

• Conclusion paragraph slide .

• Works Cited  (Include all sources in your body paragraphs, plus include an entry for the source you embed in the third slide

• Rand Corporation - Under the purple filter bar, there is a grey search window.  Type in your topic here and look for articles.
  
  

• Congressional Research - Type your topic into the Search CRS Reports window and select an article.Ted Talks - In the topic drop-down, select “Technology”, and for language select English.  Then search for your topic.

• National Public Radio - In the black bar near the top of the page, click on search.  Then type in your topic and pick an article or broadcast.
