• In negative numbers, the predecessor of the number is the number after it. Eg.- Predecessor of -5 is -6

• In positive numbers, the predecessor of the number is the number before it. Eg.- Predecessor of 5 is 4

Successor

• In negative numbers, the successor of the number is the number before it. Eg.- Successor of -5 is -4
