• An algorithm is a set of instructions for a computer device, robot or machine to follow.

• When you use drag and drop blocks to create a program, you

X and Y coordinates

• Video games use X- and Y-coordinates to move characters.

  
  

• X- and Y-coordinates can be used to move sprites to different areas on the stage.

  
  

Movement with Keyboard

• We use a control pad or keyboard to move a character in games.

• A control pad is mostly used with consoles.

• A keyboard is used when using a desktop computer or laptop

Variables in Scratch

• we use variables to hold data that can change

• For the chasing game we will use Time and Score variables

Chasing Game

• For the chasing game we will use Timer and Score variables

• When Timer hits 0, the game ends

• To make the Game easier or harder, you can change Timer or the speed of the sprites
