What is the Water Cycle?
This is the process of forming clouds and getting rain.
3
Step 1
Rain slides down land such as mountains. The rain falls into lakes, ponds, and more. This is called surface runoff.
4
Step 2
First, the sun heats up water. The water will slowly turn into gas and rise to the sky. This gas is called water vapor. This step is called Evaporation.
5
Step 2
Next, the the water vapor reaches the sky. They form clouds. This step is called Condensation.
6
Step 4
As more vapor reaches the clouds, the clouds get heavier and heavier with so much vapor. When there is to much vapor and the cloud is too heavy, the cloud breaks and the vapor falls as rain. This is called Precipitation.
