1. Câu bị động

Chủ động: S + V + O

Bị động: S1 + be + V(ed/3) + by S'

* Bị độngHiện tại đơn

S + V + O.

=> S + be + V3 (+ by Sb/ O)

Ví dụ:

My mother often washes dishes.

=> Dishes are often washed by my mother.

* Hiện tại tiếp diễn

S + am/ is/ are + Ving + O

=> S + am/ is/ are + being + V3 (+ by Sb/ O)

Ví dụ:

She is making a cake.

=> A cake is being made by her.

Hiện tại hoàn thành

S + have/ has + V3 + O.

=> S + have/ has + been + V3 (+ by Sb/ O)

Ví dụ:

He has washed his car for hours

=> His car has been washed by him for hours.

Quá khứ đơn

S + V-ed + O.

=> S + was/ were + V3 (+ by Sb/ O)

Ví dụ:

My mother bought that washing machine in 2010

=> That washing machine was bought by my mother in 2010.

Quá khứ tiếp diễn

S + was/ were + Ving + O

=>S + was/ were +  being + V3 (+ by Sb/ O)

Ví dụ:

Yesterday morning she was cutting the grass.

=> The grass was being cut by her yesterday morning.

Tương lai đơn

S + will V + O

=> S + will be + V3 (+ by Sb/ O)

Ví dụ:

I will feed the dogs.

=> The dogs will be fed.

Bị động với động từ khuyết thiếu

S+ can/ must/ should/ may + V + O

=>S + can/ must/ should/ may + be + V3 (+ by O)

Lưu ý: need + to V => nghĩa chủ động

Need + Ving = need to be V(ed/3)

Chuyển các câu sau sang thể bị động.

1. The waiter brings me this dish.

=> This dish.....................................................

2. Our friends send these postcards to us.

=> These postcards.......................................

3. Their grandmother told them this story when they visited her last week.

=> They..............................................................

4. Tim ordered this train ticket for his mother.

=> This train ticket..........................................

5. She showed her ticket to the airline agent.

=> Her ticket..................................................

6. Jim baked this cake yesterday.

=> This cake...................................................

7. They are going to buy a new apartment next year.

=> A new apartment....................................

8. They keep this room tidy all the time.

=> This room..................................................
