3
Fact vs. Fiction
Angelica Schuyler was already married with children when she met Hamilton.
They DID have a very flirtatious relationship in writing, discussing deep ideas, dreams, desires, etc.
Angelica actually had three brothers and had no obligation to marry rich, aside her father's preferences. In fact she eloped.
4
Fact vs. Fiction, cont.
The women WERE socialites of the highest order in New York and Europe.
Eliza scribed for Hamilton often - many of his works are in her hand. She spent the her life working for their joint causes.
Eliza and Angelica did joke about "sharing" him but there is no evidence of a physical affair; rather a close, yet flirtatious relationship.
