Personal Pronouns

Los pronombres son las palabras que utilizamos para referirnos a alguien o algo. Por ejemplo: yo, él, ella, tú y nosotros.

¿Cuáles son los pronombres personales?

Los pronombres se dividen en 1ª, 2ª y 3ª persona.

La 1ª persona se usa cuando me refiero a mí I (Yo)

o a nosotros, We.

La 2ª persona es como te refieres con quién estás hablando: You. (Tú o ustedes)

La 3ª persona se refiere a la persona o cosa de quien estás hablando, Ejemplo: 

He / él

She / ella

It / ello o es

They / ellos o ellas.

Importante

* Siempre debes escribir I (YO) en mayúscula:

You and I eat pizza. Tú y yo comemos pizza.

* Puedes saber si You se refiere a una o varias personas por el contexto de la oración.

Ejemplo:

You are my friend. Tú eres mi amigo.

You are my friends. Ustedes son mis amigos.

Importante

* It es un pronombre que se usa para referirse a sujetos que no son seres humanos, por ejemplo, objetos inanimados y animales.

Además, no tiene plural:

It is a bycicle. Eso es una bicicleta.

It is a plant. Eso es una planta.

Importante

Puedes encontrar oraciones donde no se usan he, she o it, sino nombres propios como Nicolas, Roberto o Carla. Estos también cumplen la función de tercera persona, por ende debes agregarle una "s" al verbo en tiempo presente:

Carlos eats carrots. Carlos come zanahorias.

He eats carrots. Él come zanahorias.

The dog runs. El perro corre.

It runs. El corre.
