Operation on Whole Numbers

Can you count how many marbles are in the image?

-Which number did you start counting from?

-Did you start your counting from 1?

-Yes we naturally start counting from 1. Then 2 and 3 and so on.

-Here we count as 1,2,3,4,5,6,7. So, we say there are 7 marbles.

The counting numbers which naturally starts from 1 and goes on increasing by 1 are called Natural Numbers.
