The Census

  • A census is a list of peoples names, ages, addresses, jobs and family sizes

  • The first census was taken in 1801-it just showed peoples names and addresses. From 1851 ,people had to include their own ages, jobs and places of birth

  • A census was done after every 10 year in order to give the complete picture of the nation
