1. 強調句：It + was/is + 被強調部分 + that....

• It was Nina that/who told me the truth.

  是Nina告訴我真相。

2 雙重否定：no / not / never...without + N / V-ing

• No one can pass Ms. Wang’s exam without months of study.

  每位通過王老師考試的人，必經過數個月的苦讀。

• Allison never uses the manager’s computer without asking her permission.

  Allison每使用經理的電腦必會徵得她的同意

3  likewise

• 副詞likewise為轉承詞，表示「同樣地」。likewise意義相近於similarly。

• likewise通常放在句首，並以逗點隔開，或是放在動詞後面。

• In Sweden, citizens could not buy things without using e-money in most shops. Likewise, citizens in Denmark have to pay electronically.

  在瑞典，市民不得不用電子貨幣在多數商店中購物。同樣地，丹麥市民必須使用電子支付。

• Elisa eats 7 types of vegetables every day, and she hopes her son can do likewise.

  Elisa每天都吃七種蔬菜，而她希望她的兒子也能這樣做。

  
  

4 be used to + N / V-ing

• 此為用以表示「習慣……」的句型，亦可寫成get used to + N / V-ing。否定型為be not used to + N / V-ing。

• 容易混淆句型：sb used to V表示過去的狀態或經常發生的動作，為「以前經常……」之意。sth be used to V則為被動語態，表示「……被用作……」之意。

• William is used to getting up early every day.

  William習慣每天早起。

• As an exchange student from Thailand, Amy is used to the life in Taiwan.

  身為來自泰國的交換學生，Amy很習慣臺灣的生活。

5  have no choice but + to V

• 此句型用來表示「別無選擇只好……，不得不……」之意，but後須接不定詞 (to V)。

• Max had no choice but to take a bus to school because his bike was broken.

  因為腳踏車壞了，Max不得不搭公車去上學。

  
  

• Because of the sudden rain, Iris had no choice but to buy a raincoat.

  因為突如其來的雨，Iris不得不買件雨衣。
