In Music every alphabet/Note has a major and minor scale. Example - C - Has got a major scale and and minor scale. A major scale has a bright and happy sound while a minor scale has a sad and depressing sound.

  • 4th C-F

  • 5th C-G

  • Octave (8th) C- high C

  • The 2nd,3rd,6th and 7th notes for Major and Minor Scales are different

  • Therefore they are called Major 2nd or Minor second based on the intervals. They are definitely not referred to as perfect intervals.
