Identifying like terms

• What are terms?

• Terms are in the expression that are added and subtracted

• What are like terms?

• Like terms have the same pronumeral/variable (may be in different order)

Expanding Brackets

• Factorising 'adds brackets'

• Firstly find the highest common factor in EVERY term

• Put this HCF in front of the brackets
