Simple Present Tense

To express action which are habitual or happen regularly.

To express truths or facts.

Usually use adverbs;often,usually,every day...

e.g: She eats her breakfast every morning.

Simple Past Tense

To express action that happened or took place in the past.

Usually end with 'ed' for irregular verbs. For regular verbs, does not end with 'ed'.

Some verbs remain the same as past tense.The spelling is same but different pronunciation.

e.g: cut,put,read

Continuous Tense

Present Continuous Tense

To show action that is still hapenniing or going on at the time speaking.

e.g ; She is singing now.

Past Continuous Tense

To show action that was happening or going in the past.

e.g; I was walking home when I saw the accident.


also used to show two action happening at the same time in the past.

e.g; I was cooking when he watching television.

Simple Future Tense

To show an action that is going to happen in the future.


Positive : Subject + will/shall +verb

e.g: I + will + go to Thailand.


Negative : Subject + will not/ won't + verb

e.g : I + will not + go to Thailand.


Question : Will + Subject + verb +?

e.g : Will + you + go to Thailand?
