We add suffixes (kata imbuhan belakang) to existing nouns or verbs to describe people or their jobs

There are complex rules that govern which suffix goes with which word, at the moment, the best way for you is to read often so you get to meet these words and it becomes common for you.

Like how you know what to call a person who teaches you at school.

A teach-er! From reading and listening, this word becomes common.
