Give some important facts about Jute ?

The Jute plant is harvested at flowering stage. The stems of the harvested plants are immersed or soaked in water for a few days. The stem rot and are separated by the process of Retting. Jute is best grown in alluvial soil. The weather in which it is best grown is warm, humid climate with plenty of rainfall.
