_{They sit on the broomstick.}

_{The hat goes down.}

_{Down !says the witch.}

_{They fly to the ground.}

_{They search for the hat, but they don’t find the hat.}

• Then out of the bushes on thundering paws.

  There bounds a dog with the hat in his jaws.

• ^{He drops it politely then eagerly says" I am a dog , as keen as can be .Is there room on the broom for a dog like me?}

• Yes,says the witch,and the dog clambers on.The witch taps the broomstick and whoosh ,they fly away.
