What is Past Continuous Tense?

• Past Continuous Tense is a tense thst describes actions or events in a time before now, which began in the past and were still going on when another event occurred

PATTERN

S + was/ were +V-ing

For negative sentence --> S + was/ were + not +V-ing

For Interrogative Sentence --> Was/ were + Subject +V-ing

EXAMPLE

• He was studying English yesterday morning.

• She is studying English at 9 p.m yesterday.

• I was writing a letter when someone knocked the door.

• They were waiting for the bus when the accident happened.
