What is Invitation?

• An invitation is a request, a solicitation, or an attempt to get another person to join you at a specific event.

Generic Structure:

• 1.Receiver/To: nama orang yang dituju/yang diundang

• 2. Body of invitation/isi undangan: Isi undangan biasanya berupa hal hal berikut ini:

  a.  Subjek: Nama Acara

  b.  Day or Date: Hari dan tanggal

  c.   Time: Waktu yang ditetapkan

  d.  Place: Tempat dimana acara tersebut diadakan

• 3. Sender/from: Orang yang mengirim undangan

Language Features

• a.  Kata Sapa = Dear Andi, Hi Friend, Hello guys, etc

• b.  Menggunakan tenses Present Tense dan Future tense =

• Simple Present Tense :

  Coffee Company cordially invites...

  ABC Senior High school seeks...

• Future Tense :

  The event will be held on...

• c.   Menggunakan Passive Sentence = you are invited to join ...
