Congratulation

Congratulation artinya selamat. Kata congratulation termasuk ke dalam golongan noun atau kata benda. Congratulation bisa menjadi countable noun dan uncountable noun. 

Baik sebagai uncountable noun maupun countable noun, congratulation berarti ‘tindakan memberi selamat kepada seseorang’, kamu bisa menggunakan kata congratulation dalam situasi formal dan informal.

Contoh kalimat ‘congratulation’:

He sent me a note of congratulation on my wedding. (Dia mengirimkanku ucapan selamat atas pernikahanku).

I give him one set of PS 5, a sort of congratulation. (Saya memberinya satu set PS 5, sebagai bentuk atas ucapan selamat).  

Penggunaan Kata Congratulations

1. Pesan yang berisi ucapan selamat kepada orang lain

*Let me offer you my congratulations on/for being accepted to Oxford University.

*Many people sent congratulations to the national team.

2. Sesuatu yang kamu ucapkan langsung kepada seseorang

*Congratulations on your graduation!

*Congratulations on your wedding!

3. Tindakan memberi selamat kepada orang lain

*She sent him a note of congratulation on his educational achievements.
