Long finds an essay on the internet that is for the same topic as the one Mr. Wayne has given for practice. He copies one of the body paragraphs but uses a dictionary to find a synonym for most words.

Having the same idea as someone is also okay. Both students still would have written this essay in their own words and would never been able to see the other person's work.

AI is not a good tool to use in VCE English, because it does not have enough knowledge about our writing structures or how we analyse texts. I do not recommend using it, but if you ARE going to use it, it should only be used to help you brainstorm ideas or to explain things to you.
