Importance of Prepositions

  • to indicate time, the direction or location of an object, or to introduce something

Preposition

  • a word or group of words used before a noun, pronoun, or noun phrase to show direction, time, place, location, spatial relationships, or to introduce an object.

PREPOSITION VS. ADVERB

PREPOSITION requires an object which follows it

  • Examples: The ball rolled down the steps.

  • Flowers grew along the path

  • The school is near our house

Adverb does not require an object

  • Example: The child fell down.

  • Won't you come along with us?

  • We knew help was near.

Importance of Conjunctions

  • help add variety to your writing because they can be used to create sentences with different styles and meanings.

  • improve the diversity of our sentences and paragraphs, making the overall text more pleasant to read.

Conjunction

  • is a word that joins parts of a sentence, phrases or other words together.

​Subordinating Conjunctions

  • Subordinating conjunctions can be found in sentences containing two clauses: an independent or main clause and a dependent clause. They are separated into categories by meaning ans can serve a few different purposes for a sentence.

Importance of Interjection

  • can use to express a strong sense of emotion or feeling

  •  simply convey the way the author (or speaker) is feeling.
