​Roy: "Hi, are you a student of X-TKR-2?"

​Willy: "Yes, I'm."

​Roy: "My name's Roy, we're at the same class."

​Willy: "Great. I'm Willy. Let's get to the class together!"

​Roy: "Sure!"

​​​Memperkenalkan diri sendiri pada orang lain dapat terjadi pada situasi seperti contoh di atas. Ketika dua orang asing bertemu dan mereka memiliki kepentingan yang sama, maka mereka akan berkenalan.

​Introducing other people to other people

Mr. John: "I want to introduce Mr. Nicholas to you, Anne."

​Anne: "So, is he the new teacher for our workshop?"

​Mr. John: "Yes. Well, Mr. Nicholas, this is Anne. She is the person in charge of our workshop."

​Mr. Nicholas: "Call me Mr. Nick. Nice to meet you, Anne."

​Anne: "Nice to meet you too, Mr. Nick."

​​Memperkenalkan orang lain kepada orang lain dapat terjadi pada situasi formal maupun informal. Contoh di atas adalah situasi formal di mana seorang guru bengkel lama memperkenalkan penanggung jawab bengkel kepada guru bengkel yang baru.

Hi, I'm your new English teacher. My name’s Atiril Atifah. My friends all call me Atif. I’m originally from Sampang, East Java province, which shows clearly I’m an Indonesian. I spent my childhood growing up in a small village and then I moved to the city before I went to kindergarten.

Now, here I’m, being a teacher in SMKN 2 Sampang, teaching English as a foreign language. Well, I hope we can build a great relationship between students and teacher. Pleased to meet you all.​
