Prepositions which express relationships of space
at or in
1. At is used to describe where you are in general without describing exactly whether you are in, under, behind, etc.
-She’s at school .
2. In like on, under, behind, over, etc. is more specific.
-She’s in the bedroom.

in or into
3. In can be used for movement or rest; into refers only to movement:
- He’s swimming in the river.
-He fell into the river.
(from one place to another)

Between refers to position or movement in relation to two objects. Among describes position relation to more than two objects:
Kamal sits between Joe and Lingam.
It is good to be among friends (more than two)

During
•We use during for a period of time which is less specific:
Come and visit me during the holidays.

We use for with a period of time, e.g. three months:
I haven’t seen him for three months.
